Last week I modified my camera. (yes I have multiple cameras now) I removed the IR filter that is in front of the sensor. Now I can make full spectrum photos. It has been interesting but also annoying. The camera was not made to have that filter removed so there is a lot of tweaking needed to get some good photos.
Using a filter in front of the lens I can take pictures of only the infrared. This is really cool, some things are very bright when in the visible spectrum they are black. I can see the different roof tiles used, and trees have a snow like look.
I also have a filter to convert it back to normal tho. So if I ever get bored of IR photos I can take normal photos.
