I bought a new camera. A nice one that makes me look like I know stuff about photography. It's a Canon 100D. It is not the best camera, but its good enough for my needs. I was buying it mostly to take videos but I actually have been using it more for taking photos. I got it second hand, with a kit lens and a nice bag. The lens is a Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. I bought it for €150,-.
It took some time to get used to the way the settings work compared to a phone. I took this camera knowing I could extend its life usage with Magic Lantern. It really brought some amazing features to my life. Like ETTR and higher video resolutions.
The stock lens was great and will be a go to for simple point and shoot photography. But I wanted more. More zoom! I was most of the time stuck at 55mm so I wanted more room at the high end. I bought a Sigma MF 70-200mm F4-5.6 lens. And I couldn't have dreamed of any better results to come with it. This one was bought second hand too, It only cost €10,-. what a bargain! Seems like nobody wants manual lenses anymore. Do you think I got a good deal on the whole set?
Anyway, I am gonna shoot some more. Might show some of the photos I took with this camera if anyone wants to see them.
